A Bit of History
Renaissance Orlando Resort – Disney Springs® Area has a story that stretches back more than five decades. First opened in 1972 as The Royal Inn, it later became known as Hotel Royal Plaza before a $30 million transformation reintroduced the property as a Renaissance hotel.
