Up in the Air
There are views, and then there is this.
The Aerophile Balloon Flight at Disney Springs® West Side sends guests up to 400 feet in the world’s largest hand-painted helium balloon, custom-built for Disney by Paris-based company Aérophile S.A. On a clear day, the panoramic views stretch up to 10 miles in every direction.
Each 8-minute tethered flight accommodates up to 29 guests plus a certified pilot. No reservations needed. Tickets are available at the attraction on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pricing:
Adult tickets (ages 10 and older): $29.99 plus tax
Children (ages 3 to 9): $24.99 plus tax
A few things to know before you go: the balloon does not fly during storms or when winds exceed 22 mph. Bags, food, beverages, and strollers are not permitted in the basket. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
On the Water
At The Landing, a different kind of adventure is waiting.
Vintage Amphicar Tours offer a 20-minute captain-guided tour on the waters of Lake Buena Vista aboard a fully restored Amphicar, a rare vehicle from the 1960s that drives on land and floats on water. It is exactly as charming as it sounds.
Tours run daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, weather permitting. Each car accommodates 3 to 4 guests and is priced at $125 per car. Reservations can only be made in person at the dock podium or inside The BOATHOUSE® Boatique, so plan to arrive a little early.
